It is with great sadness that we must inform you of the most recent tragedy impacting a registered family in the state of South Carolina. RSOL National issued the following press release earlier today demanding that Governor Nikki Haley take immediate action to prevent additional tragedies from occurring.
According to law enforcement, this was clearly an act of vigilantism. It is RSOL New Mexico’s position that the widespread dissemination of home addresses makes the state of South Carolina responsible for this senseless tragedy. As you can see from other accounts listed in press release, murders of registered persons is all too common throughout the United States. And despite the fact that murders have occurred multiple times already, only the state of Maine has seen fit to remove home addresses from their website.
Many of you know that we are in the midst of a fundraising campaign with the intent of mounting a constitutional challenge to New Mexico’s registration law. This unfortunate tragedy underscores the need for RSOL-NM’s efforts to continuously chip away at our registration law with the ultimate goal of eliminating public registration altogether. Please consider making a donation to our legal fund now. This is an ideal time for you to donate because we have a donor who is matching all gifts up to $10,000.00. You may send a check payable to RSOL to Post Office Box 36123, Albuquerque, NM 87196. Please note on the check that the donation is for the “Legal Fund” or if you prefer, you can donate here on our website and select “Legal Fund” in the drop down menu.
