New Name Update 8/28/14
GREETINGS TO ALL MEMBERS, SUPPORTERS , AND FRIENDS OF RSOL-NM:
Most of you know we (RSOLNM) have been searching for a new name for our organization. The goal was to find a name that would be more conducive to our challenges here in New Mexico. A General Membership meeting was held on August 23, 2014 to discuss and approve a new name, expanded mission for the organization, and the dissolution of RSOLNM.
The membership did approve a the name of Liberty & Justice Coalition (LJC). Perhaps many of you noticed the new banner for LJC when it was sent out by Lloyd yesterday on a “roommate request”, as well as on this update. The mission of LJC is to promote public safety through the reform of overly-punitive laws, unjust restrictions, and seek reform of the criminal justice system. This broader mission includes all felons not just registered persons/families. We believe that by protecting other felons from future proposed registries we will ensure that our battle is contained to only one front, the SO registry.
We will continue to use the RSOLNM.org web site until the new LJC sites are completed. These sites will be” Libjusco.com” and .net, both presently under construction. Our Mail Chimp mailing account will change names soon, so pay attention so that mailings from LJC don’t end up in your spam folder. Our mailing address will remain the same. Our pay pal account is still in operation and will remain so and all future payments will be credited with LJC. All memberships that are paid up to date will be transferred to LJC, unless otherwise directed. All out of date members will be contacted to see if you wish to resume dues payments or be removed from our membership roster. We sincerely hope that all members will renew as we CANNOT continue this fight without YOUR continued support.
We will keep you up to date as our progress unfolds.
Help Us Help You!
Sincerely,
Rick Dean
